I am writing to you today to inform you that I will be retiring from the Practice and dentistry on Wednesday 25th March.
I would like to thank you for all the loyalty and kindness you have shown me over the years, some of you have been patients of mine for my whole career and I am humbled by this support.
From Thursday 26th March the Practice will pass into the ownership of Dr Haza Star a very experienced and highly qualified dentist. She has the same approach to dental care as myself holding prevention of dental disease as a priority. I feel I will be leaving you, the staff and the Practice in safe hands.
I apologise that I have not been able to personally give this message to people I have seen recently but I have been under a contractual obligation to preserve confidentiality.
Your booked appointments will continue as planned and if you are a Denplan patient your membership will be transferred to Dr Star.
I plan to get back to my much neglected garden, windsurfing and sailing.
Introducing Dr Haza Star BDS, MSc, PhD
Dr Haza Star graduated from the University of Sulaymaniyah in 2004. She subsequently completed a Master of Dental Science degree in Belgium in 2009 and was awarded a PhD in Orthodontics from King's College London in 2017.
Following her postgraduate training, Dr Star moved to Scotland to undertake her vocational training. She then worked as a general dentist for over four years before relocating to England, where she practised as an associate dentist in Suffolk and Norwich. She then joined Poringland Dental Practice in 2023 and is now moving on to take up ownership of Penny Wiles Dental Practice.
Dr Star has a strong interest in all aspects of dentistry, with particular emphasis on preventative and restorative care. Her professional philosophy centres on the prevention of dental disease rather than its treatment.
Dr Star is recognised for her professional, calm, and approachable manner, which helps ensure patients feel comfortable and reassured throughout their dental care.
Outside of work, Dr Star enjoys travelling and spending time with her family and friends.
